Mongolia is famous for its immense desert spaces, steppes and nomadic shepherd populations. However, to the west and on the border with Russia to the north, extends the great chain of Altai Mountains.

On the border of Mongolia, Russia and China, the Tavan Bogd massif (the five saints) has large glaciers and the highest peak in Mongolia (Huiten 4374 m). This remote area is perfect for an adventurous journey, walking the tundra along large rivers, in the company of wild horses andwith a lot of mountains to climb.
