SEASON 2023 - The 2nd and 3rd of January, the 21st and 22nd of January, the 18/19 of February

Two days program for all those who want begin to skiing off pistes, learning to move safely with any snow condition.

During the stage we work on the individual technical level of off-piste skiing, on the techniques of self-rescue and search in avalanche. In the second day we study also the characteristics of the snowpack, skiing along the amazing itineraries of the area.

1stDay

Avalanche search and individual technique of off-piste ski

Meeting with the mountain guide in Alagna at 8 a.m., equipment’s check and then with the lift up to Punta Indren. During the morning we learn the correct use of the avalanche transceiver and we talk about avalanche prevention. Then we work on individual technique of off-piste ski, skiing through the fantastic itineraries of the area. Come back to Alagna around 4 p.m.


2ndDay

Self-rescue, safety and individual technique of off-piste ski

Leaving from Alagna with the first lift (8 a.m.). Today the itineraries will be chosen depending on the average level of the group. With a short climbs with snow shoes or split-board or skins we can reach the best off-piste itineraries. During the day will be given notions about snow science, snowpack stratigraphy and best choise of the drop lines. Come back to Alagna around 4 p.m.

TECHNICAL INFO: The technical difficulties of the itineraries will be chosen depending on the skills of participants. Among the potential itinerary: Salza Valley, Balma, Stolemberg couloir, Eagle couloir.

PRICE INCLUDES : Support, assistance and teaching of a U.I.A.G.M. Mountain Guide, all the technical equipment in common use, logistics.

PRICE DOESN’T INCLUDE: Ski pass Monterosaski, half board at the hotel. Guide’s half board will be shared by participants. Injury insurance. Lyskamm4000 can rent the missing technical material (harness, crampons, ice axe, snow beep shovel and probe. € 10,00 per day/person)
