From the beginning of March to the end of June
Climb Margherita Hut with skis is an experience not to be missed. From the summit high 4559m you can have one of the longest descent of the Alps: 3300 meters downhill through beautiful landscape and great glaciers.
Private groups (min 3 persons) can choose different dates depending on their needs.
Travel Program
Climb Punta Giordani m 4046
Meeting in Alagna around 7.30 a.m. and equipment check. Up with the lift to Punta Indren (3273 m). Skins on we rise the Indren Glacier and then we climb P. Giordani (4045 m). Ski down on the same way until 3300m, then up again to Mantova hut (3498 m). Diner and overnight.
Ascent 770 m + 200 m, Descent 800m - 5 hours
Climb to Margherita Hut m 4559
Leave early from the hut and up along the normal route to Col del Lys (4250 m). From there a long crossing will bring us at the last steep before the summit at 4559 mt. The view from here is one of the most beautiful of the whole Alps !!! Descent on the same way to 3600 m, then down again skiing, choosing among many differents itineraries in order to find the best snow conditions (Balma, Malfatta, Canale Miniere….) ....to Alagna m 1190 !!!!!

ABOUT CLIMBING: The climb to Punta Giordani has not relevant technical difficulties. The normal route is quite sustained on 30° slopes. The climb to Capanna Margherita has not technical difficulties, (sometimes large crevasses) The steepest part (35 °) is just the last step to reach the summit.
The program may be modified by the Mountain Guide according to the technical level of the participants or for weather reasons.

THE PRICE INCLUDES : Support and assistance of a U.I.A.G.M. certified Mountain Guide, all the technical equipment in common use, reservation to the huts and logistics,
THE PRICE DOESN’T INCLUDE: Transfert costs, lift ticket, half board in the huts. Guide’s half board and lift tickets will be shared by participants. Injury insurance, rental of technical equipment if you need (harness, crampons, ice axe, snow beep).
