Great classic ski mountaineering trip to the only 4000 mt peak completely in Italian territory: The Gran Paradiso.
Situated between Val Savaranche, Cogne Valley and Orco Valley it remains in the unspoiled nature of the famous Gran Paradiso National Park. During these 2 days we will enjoy a beautiful and peaceful landscape without lifts
Private groups can choose different dates depending on their needs.
Travel Program
Transfer and clim to Chabod Hut m 2750
Meeting with the Mountain Guide and transfer to Savaranche Valley. From the parking of Pravieux (1780 mt) we walk first through a beautiful forest and then along wide slopes up to the Hut (2750 m) Dinner and overnight.
Ascent 980 m - 3 hours
Climb the summit m 4061
Leaving early form the hut along the beautiful Levaciau Glacier. Sometimes is possible to cross some big crevasse. From 3800 the climb become a bit steeper than before. From the last col at 4000m we need to put the crampons on to reach the top. Descent on the same way and come back. From 3800m, depending on the best condition we can descent through Vittorio Emanuele hut doing the full crossing of Gran Paradiso.
Ascent 1311 m, descent 2100 m - 7/8 hours

ABOUT CLIMBING: The climb to the summit hasn’ t technical difficulties, but it is long and not served by lifts, so it’ s not to be underestimated. In the Levaciau glacier you can find huge crevasses. The last step to reach the summit presents a short and easy rocky step.
The program may be modified by the Mountain Guide according to the technical level of the participants or for weather reasons.

THE PRICE INCLUDES : Support and assistance of a U.I.A.G.M. certified Mountain Guide, all the technical equipment in common use, reservation to the huts and logistics,
THE PRICE DOESN’T INCLUDE: Transfer costs, half board in the hut. Guide’s half board will be shared by participants. Injury insurance, rental of technical equipment if you need (harness, crampons, ice axe, snow beep) 10,00 €
