For a complete and rewarding approach with the shining world of ice falls, to learn the techniques and methods to climb safely.
During the days you learn the use of rope on ice falls knot tying, security/self rescue methods and progression while tied together. Progression on the "Piolet Traction" technique use of crampons and ice axes Instruction of ice characteristics and how to choose your ascent.
Private groups (max 2 persons) can choose different dates depending on their needs

Equipment introduction and climbing techniques
Meeting with Mountain Guide at 8.00 ( Val Sesia or Val d’Ossola). Once we’ve reached the ice fall we begin to know the materials: rope, crampons, piolet traction ice axes and their utilization, placement of ice screwand of the anchor. Then we learn all the climbing techniques in piolet traction working one pitch.
Climb multipitch ice fall
Depending on the level reached by participants today we choose a multipitch ice fall and we climb it, teaching about safety, self rescue, rope methods (rappels).

TECHNICAL INFO: In these two days we’ll work on every kind of slopes from the easier until the most steep ones. The climb of the second day will have a difficult between 3° and 4° and a length between 120 and 200 mt.
